Richard has been battling prostate cancer that has spread to his bones\, while Debra is courageously fighting ovarian cancer. In 2021\, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones. With a prognosis of five years\, Richard undergoes routine blood work and testing every six months. He is currently part of an experimental treatment program\, taking chemotherapy pills daily alongside hormone therapy injections. Richard receives care at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. \nDebra Bailey dedicated 20 years as a teacher’s aide in a 611-classroom at Native American Magnet School #19. In August 2024\, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer\, which resulted in a 21 cm mass in her abdomen. This led to the loss of part of her small intestine\, a hernia\, a bowel tear\, and multiple infections. Debra has undergone four surgeries\, five hospitalizations\, and two rounds of chemotherapy. She is currently under the care of the Great Lakes Cancer Institute.
